How can I reset the password for matrix authentication?

you can change the password from the Login screen. Please refer to “3. Change or reset password of Portal” in the User manual for authentication screen
(can be displayed from Help menu on Login screen).

Your account will be locked if you missed authentication more than 5 times in 5 minutes.
